State Study Academy Leipzig
The Staatliche Studienakademie Leipzig (also BA Leipzig for short ) is a study location of the Berufsakademie Sachsen of the Free State of Saxony .
As a study facility located in the tertiary education sector , dual courses of study with a state bachelor's degree in the fields of technology and economics can be acquired after three years.

The Berufsakademie Sachsen is a tertiary educational establishment. In a usually three-year practice-integrated course of study, it prepares the students for a career by conveying and applying scientific knowledge and methods. It fulfills its tasks through the cooperation of the state study academies with the practice partners. ( § 1 Saxon Professional Academy Act)
The Saxony University of Cooperative Education is under legal supervision in matters of self-administration and under the technical supervision of the State Ministry for Science and Art in other matters. ( Section 6 of the Saxon Professional Academy Act)

The characteristic of the dual practice-integrated course is the change between theoretical and practical study phases every three months. There are no tuition fees
entry requirements
Anyone who
- the general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur) or
- the subject-related higher education entrance qualification (Abitur) or
- the advanced technical college entrance qualification or
- a master's degree or
- a professional qualification and an entrance examination
- and a training contract with a recognized practice partner of the vocational academy

canditature
Prospective students apply to the company for a dual study place. Applicants conclude a three-year training contract with an approved practice partner. Admission to the course is then granted by the Leipzig State Study Academy. There is no numerus clausus , the applicant is selected by the practice company. Studies usually start on October 1st of each year.

The focus is on lectures, seminars and case study exercises on business administration, economics, accounting, law, IT and statistics. The course content also includes foreign languages, communication and rhetoric courses and business games.

history
The Staatliche Studienakademie Leipzig with its dual courses has been operating at Schönauer Strasse 113a in Leipzig since 1993. The first major in 1993 was real estate management.
The building was previously an engineering school specializing in mechanical engineering.
On the green campus, students will find modern equipment and adequate courses. The campus is supplemented by a laboratory and canteen building (operated by the Leipzig Student Union) and a library. There are opportunities for volleyball or table tennis outdoors.
