State ensemble for classical Turkish music

The State Ensemble for Classical Turkish Music ( İstanbul Tarihi Türk Müziği Topluluğu ) is a Turkish cultural association for the care of Turkish art music ( Sufi music).

It was founded in 1991 in Istanbul with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Turkey . Since its foundation (as of 2011) it has been under the direction of General Director Ömer Tuğrul İnançer. This ensemble's trips abroad have so far led to Europe and Japan .

The best- known members of the ensemble are the singer Ahmet Özhan and the instrumental virtuosos Göksel Baktagir and Yurdal Tokcan . At public appearances, works from the treasure of Islamic music and literature are presented in various forms such as ilahi , kaside , durak , münacât , salavât and the like. a. listed.
