Ahmet Özhan (born August 26, 1950 in Urfa ) is a Turkish singer of classical Turkish and mystical music ( Sufi music).

He attended the Conservatory in Istanbul and received classical singing training there; at the same time he learned from Emin Ongan from the Istanbul district of Üsküdar .

In 1991, Ahmet Özhan was appointed director of the Istanbul Historical Music Choir by the Turkish Ministry of Culture , and in 1998 he was finally awarded the title of State Artist.

He is a member of the state ensemble for classical Turkish music . There he not only presents classical İlahis (mystical songs) by well-known Turkish and Persian poets at public appearances , but also takes part in the background music of the traditional Sema event of the Mevlevi - Tariqa , which is known in the West under the name “Dancing Dervishes ” .

As part of this state ensemble, Ahmet Özhan has toured a large number of countries in Europe and Asia .
