Stacey Lee Smith (born April 3, 1954 in Delaware , Ohio ) is a former American figure skater .
Smith competed in ice dancing with John Summers . After becoming national champions in 1977 , they were able to win the ice dance title in each of the following three years and qualify for the world championships. They finished ninth in 1978 and 1979 and improved to eighth in 1980 . Also in 1980 Smith and Summers took part in the Winter Olympics in Lake Placid . There they reached ninth place.
After that season, Smith and Summers moved to the pros, where they could win the 1981 World Cup. Together they were active in professional dance for another ten years.
