The Alphonse Massamba-Débat stadium in Brazzaville is the national stadium of the Republic of the Congo . In addition to football matches , athletics competitions are held on the pitch . There is also a handball field . The former stadium of the Revolution was renamed in 1993 after the former President of the Republic of the Congo, Alphonse Massemba-Débat .
