The Stade Dr Issoufou Joseph Conombo (formerly Stade Municipal de Ouagadougou ) is a football stadium in Ouagadougou , the capital of the West African state of Burkina Faso . It can seat 15,000 spectators.
The stadium was the largest stadium in the country until the Stade du 4-Août was built. It is owned by the city and is used as the venue for première division games . As part of the FIFA Goal Program , the grass pitch was replaced with artificial turf. The stadium is located in the city center in the Bilbalogho district and was the venue for the 1998 African Cup of Nations .
