The Oporowska Stadium , formerly Sportpark Gräbschen, is a football stadium in the city of Wroclaw in the Polish Lower Silesian Voivodeship . The venue is used for the home games of the second team of the Śląsk Wrocław football club (Śląsk Wrocław II) in the fourth highest division, the third division . The first team played in the stadium until 2011, after which the team moved to the newly built Miejski stadium .

The village is located about five kilometers southwest of the city center of Wroclaw.

history

Sportpark Gräbschen

The Sportpark Gräbschen was built for workers' sports in 1926 when the city was still part of the German Empire . The facility is located in the southwest of Wroclaw in the Gräbschen district (in Polish: Grabiszyn ), which gave the stadium its name. The Breslauer SpVgg 02 was able to use the pitch for their home games until 1945 after the synchronization.

Oporowska Stadium

The stadium was rebuilt in 2011 and now has a capacity of 8,346 spectators. The floodlight system provides 1,400 lux and the pitch with underfloor heating has the standard size of 105 × 68 meters.

From July 22nd to 24th, 2016 the Final Four of the IFAF Europe Champions League took place in the stadium with the teams Wrocław Panthers, Milano Seamen, Vienna Danube Dragons and Istanbul Koç Rams.
