The City Library Schwäbisch Hall is the municipal library of Schwäbisch Hall .

Location

The city library was previously housed in the Spital zum Heiligen Geist at Spitalbach 8. Since 2001 it has been located in the glass house, built between 1992 and 1995, at Neuen Straße 7 in Schwäbisch Hall, in a prominent location in the heart of the city at the Hall milk market. Originally the inn and the hotel "Lamm-Post" were located here. This building was destroyed in World War II. A post-war building built in 1950 for a bank in its place was replaced from 1992 to 1995 for the Hettlage department store by the “fashion house on the milk market” based on designs by the Stuttgart architects Mahler Gumpp Schuster .
