Klaus Mahler

Klaus Mahler (born September 15, 1940 in Stuttgart ; † October 2011 in Berlin ) was a German architect and university professor .

Life

Klaus Mahler spent his childhood in Freudenstadt . After graduating from high school at the old-language train of the Eberhard-Ludwigs-Gymnasium in Stuttgart , he studied architecture at the University of Stuttgart . He graduated in 1966 and then worked for a number of years in the architects' office Kammerer und Belz in Stuttgart. In 1970 he founded his own office in his hometown. From 1975 to 1981 Mahler was Professor of Building Construction at the University of Applied Sciences in Cologne , then until his retirement in 2003 he was Professor of Building Construction and Design at the University of Kaiserslautern . In 1987 the Mahler Gumpp Schuster Architects shared office was established in Stuttgart. In 1990 Mahler co-founded the office of Mahler Günster Fuchs Architects with Hartmut Fuchs .
