Rubrics
The program is divided into categories. Below is a list of the most important of them.
The restaurateurs
At Die Gastronauten , Pulse 4 gastro critic Fabian Holzer ("The Gastronaut") tests various restaurants, inns, cafes and bars. Each week either a new restaurant is presented or similar establishments are compared with one another. Furthermore, Holzer presents insider tips that would be worth visiting by the audience. In the gastronauts is less about dry Gastro criticism but rather the mediation of the joy of life around the theme of food. Since the team of gastronauts, in contrast to similar formats, deliberately does not take itself too seriously, humor plays a bigger role in Die Gastronauten . For years it has been exploited as a running gang, for example, like Fabian Holzer repeatedly stained, splattered or violated etiquette in any other way.
In addition to restaurant reviews, the focus is also on events and seminars relating to all areas of culinary art, such as seminars (e.g. on the subject of cheese, wine, etc.) or wine hikes. A playful attempt is made to bring the audience closer to knowing and amusing about food. After the start of the series in August 2008, the intervals between the individual contributions were initially irregular. The gastronauts are now a weekly format.
Danube Island Festival
The Danube Island Festival on the Danube Island in Vienna is an open-air music festival with free entry that takes place on a weekend in June. With various reports, interviews and the like, the show dedicated a separate section to the festival.
Sport, sport, sport
In Sport, Sport, Sport, reporters show new trend and fringe sports, children's sports clubs, reports on top Austrian athletes and reports on Austria-specific championships such as the Austrian Bundesliga. Above all, reports are broadcast about sports for which Puls 4 has the rights to broadcast various games; an example would be ski cross.
