A Staffelschnatzer (Schdaffelschnatzer) is a citizen of the city of Rastatt .

In the Rastatt area they were said to like to sit on the steps of their house entrances to chat with passers-by . The fact that the Uzname was accepted by the Rastatt population can be seen from the various club names and the designation of the Staffelschnatzer hall in the Rastatt BadnerHalle . The adjoining reed communities slightly changed the Uzname and called the Rastatts "Stadtschnatzer".

Another less used Uzname for Rastatt today is “Plate sucker”. This name can also be found in the region in modifications for the places Lörrach and Badenweiler . It probably goes back to times of hunger, when one ate the last bit of the plate out of sheer need.

There are also Uznames for individual districts such as:

  • "Barracks Rallies"
  • "Kalaberich"
