Stafford County Museum (Kansas)

The Stafford County Museum (also Stafford County Historical Society Museum ) is located in Stafford , Stafford County in the US state of Kansas . The planning of the project began in 1976 and in 1979 it was officially recognized as a museum.

Over time, the museum grew and further extensions were necessary. Today the museum manages three building complexes as well as an open-air museum . Are shown u. a. old cars, hearses - carriages and a prototype of the manufacturer Studebaker . The museum has around 700 visitors annually.

The main building is located in the former Farmers National Bank Building at number 100 on North Main Street and is a listed building on the National Register of Historic Places with number 06000392.
