Stahl CraneSystems GmbH is a German manufacturer of hoists and crane technology. Its headquarters are in Künzelsau in Baden-Württemberg . Stahl CraneSystems was formerly part of R. Stahl AG ; from 2006 to 2017 it was part of the Konecranes Group . At the beginning of 2017 Stahl CraneSystems was sold to the American hoist manufacturer Columbus McKinnon .

history

Locations

Production takes place at the Künzelsau location with around 500 employees. A further 300 employees work at nine other domestic German locations and 13 subsidiaries abroad, mainly in the areas of sales and service.

Products

The product range includes chain hoists , wire rope hoists , winches, light and small crane systems and crane components. Stahl CraneSystems is the undisputed world market leader in the field of explosion- protected crane technology. The chain hoists of the ST series, the unique design stands the super short cat out. With this construction, maximum hook paths can be achieved in very tight spaces. The wire rope hoists of the SH series cover the load ranges up to 25 tons . The electric wire rope hoists of the AS series complete the program with permissible loads of up to 100 tons. The SHW 8 winches extend the heavy-duty program to loads of up to 160 tons. Stahl CraneSystems has condition monitoring systems in its product range for controlling and monitoring production processes . These systems help to prevent possible errors and thus prevent consequential damage. This increases the operational safety enormously.

Export markets

The company generates more than 60% of its sales by exporting company services. After the USA has been an important sales market for a decade, Stahl CraneSystems is now also active in the Asian market. Here you benefit from the economic growth in Dubai , India and Russia . The newest subsidiary in Southeast Asia is located in Shanghai in the east of the People's Republic of China .
