The Staircase Glacier is a 13 km glacier in East Antarctica Victoria Land . In the Admiralty Mountains, it flows in a south-westerly direction between Mount Francis and Mount Titus to the Tucker Glacier .
Scientists from a 1957 to 1958 campaign of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition named it after the nearby staircase station they built for surveying work . The latter owes its name to a beaten into the ice staircase ( English staircase ).
