Mount Francis is a 2610 m high mountain in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises in the Admiralty Mountains between the Tyler and Staircase Glaciers above the Tucker Glacier .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1962. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1964 after Henry Sayles Francis (1902-1994), who worked for the National Science Foundation for was responsible for the international cooperation and information exchange program and had wintered on the Little America V station in 1958 .
