The Staldhorn is a 2463 m above sea level. M. high mountain in Switzerland in the canton of Valais . The mountain is a northern branch of the Fletschhorn and Tochuhorn and forms the western flank of the Simplon Pass .
The Staldhorn can be reached from the Simplon Pass over the western ridge of the mountain in an easy two-hour hike. In winter the mountain is a popular destination for snowshoe hikers. In the SAC snowshoe tour scale, the tour belongs to the level of difficulty Demanding snowshoe hike (WT3) .
