Stamos Semsis

Stamos Semsis ( Greek Στάμος Σέμσης , * 1964 in Athens ) is a Greek violinist, violist, composer and lyricist. He comes from a family of musicians whose roots go back to the 19th century. His grandfather Dimitris Semsis (Salonikios) and his father Michalis Semsis were violin players and his brother Dimitris Semsis is also a violin player.

He received his first lessons from his father when he was five. In London he studied violin and viola at the Royal College of Music and is a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama . He plays the viola in the Elliniki Kamerata, which his father founded in the early 1980s.

He has also appeared outside of classical music and has worked with many Greek musicians in various functions.

The earnings of the single went to war victims in Yugoslavia.
