Heather Anne Mills (born January 12, 1968 in Aldershot , United Kingdom ) is a former model and ex-wife of Paul McCartney , as well as an entrepreneur.

Life

Heather Mills was hit by a police motorcycle in 1993 and lost her left lower leg. Since then she has been involved in various charitable causes, especially for the victims of landmines (often also leg amputee) , and has written several books. Together with Paul McCartney, she released a music CD, the proceeds of which went to charity.

Heather Mills married Paul McCartney on June 11, 2002. On October 28, 2003, their daughter Beatrice Milly was born. On May 17, 2006, McCartney announced the split. The couple divorced on March 17, 2008. The divorce attracted a lot of media attention. The points of contention were the custody of their daughter and a settlement for Heather Mills that was not regulated by a marriage contract. The Supreme Court in London set a severance payment of 32 million euros in her favor on March 17, 2008 , said Heather Mills at a press conference. No further details were obtained from the closed trial. If the information is correct, this would be the “most expensive” divorce in the UK to date. According to recent sources, she was in fact awarded £ 23.4 million in assets by the court chaired by Justice Bennett, of which £ 16.5 million in cash, the remainder in real estate, plus an annual payment of £ 35,000 for the maintenance of their daughter Beatrice.

In early 2010, she took part in the fifth season of the figure skating show Dancing on Ice .

According to media reports, Mills has been training in Carinthia since 2010 to take part in the 2014 Winter Paralympics in skiing. On May 11, 2011, she fell while training on the Mölltal Glacier and broke her right shoulder blade . On February 12, 2012, she won the Super G race in Innerkrems . Mills reaches a speed of 166 kilometers per hour on skis.
