Stanbic Bank Zambia is a subsidiary of Standard Bank from the Republic of South Africa in Zambia . Its head office in Zambia is Woodgate House on Cairo Road in Lusaka . It has branches in Lusaka and in Ndola , Kitwe , Mkushi and Chingola . This branch was formerly called Grindlays Bank International .

Standard Bank Group is a public company and is listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. It has $ 81 billion in assets and employs 35,000 people worldwide. It is present in a further 17 countries south of the Sahara and 21 on other continents, which means that it plays an essential role in the low intra-African trade.

The Stanbic Bank is likely to be the toughest competitor of the Zambia Export and Import Bank .
