Standard Chartered Bank Zambia , also StanChart or SCZ is a public company in Zambia . Its head office in Zambia is Lusaka , Standard House, Cairo Road. She has a branch in Livingstone . It is listed on the Lusaka Stock Exchange , which means it is traded and is therefore not wholly owned by the parent company.

The company was founded in 1859 in the Republic of South Africa in Port Elizabeth . It is the ultimate bank of British colonialism in Africa and can be found with branches all over these areas. The StanChart could be described as the most international bank in the world. The SCZ also operates StanChart's business in Malawi.

The SCZ accordingly focuses on international payment transactions, advice and financing of foreign investments, works with the Swiss-based international auditing and consulting firm KPMG , and offers consumer services and loans for small and medium-sized companies on a national level.

The SCZ holds 90 percent of the capital of Kawalazi Estate Co Ltd, an agricultural multinational in Malawi that operates agriculture, forestry, fishing, tea and coffee cultivation, and fruit and nut plantations there.

A balance sheet is not shown anywhere. The last achievable figures relate to 1998, which show a profit before tax of 23.3 billion and a profit after tax of 12.7 billion Kwacha.

SCZ arranges bridging finance for imports, a very important business in Africa, as the state only releases foreign currency when the goods have crossed the national border, but the goods have to be paid for fob ("free on board").
