The Standing NATO Response Force Mine Countermeasures Group 2 ( SNMCMG2 ) is a NATO - Marine Association and part of the NATO Response Force (NRF). Like the Standing NRF Mine Countermeasures Group 1, it is an association of anti-mine vehicles . It usually consists of seven mine-layers and anti-mine ships as well as a command and supply ship. Calls

In addition to port visits and the presentation of NATO's presence at sea, the association takes part in operational exercises of NATO and the Partnership for Peace with the changing composition of the naval units involved.

In 1999 and 2000, the association took over the search for and dismantling of ammunition in the Adriatic Sea in the Allied Harvest and Allied Harvest II operations alongside the Counter Measures Force North Western Europe (MCMFORNORTH) mine .
