Stanislaw W. Schekschnja

Stanislaw Vladimirovich Schekschnja ( Russian Станислав Владимирович Шекшня ; * 1964 ) is a senior affiliate professor in the field of entrepreneurship and family businesses at INSEAD .

Life

His main research interests are corporate governance, corporate governance development and the control of growth markets and organizations. Before joining INSEAD , Sheknya worked at Moscow State University , Ecole Superieure de Commerce , Northeastern University , the Institute for International Management in Saint Petersburg and on the Moscow campus of California State University.

His research results have been published in the Academy of Management Executive, the European Management Journal, the European Journal of International Management, the Harvard Business Review, the Journal of West-East Business, the Case Research Journal, the California Management Review, the Journal of Management Inquiry and Organizational Dynamics published.

In addition to his academic background, Schekschnja also has an entrepreneurial background. He held various positions at Alfa-Telecom, VimpelCom, Millicom International Cellular, Otis Elevator and SUEK. He is currently a Senior Partner at Ward Howell International, serves on the board of directors of Russian Fishery LLC, and serves on the NLMK and NIS committees.

Sheknya holds a Masters and PhD from Moscow State University and an MBA from Northeastern University in Boston.
