Stacking stone (grave)

Stapelstein, Friedeburg

The Stapelstein is a Stone Age grave in the district of Stapelstein near Etzel in the municipality of Friedeburg , East Friesland . It is located near the federal highway 436 . There are four bearing stones with two cap stones. During excavations in 1878 neither grave goods nor urns were found. Due to its small size, Ernst Sprockhoff does not classify the facility as a large stone grave , but as a stone box .
