The Starfish Cove (English for starfish bay ) is a small bay on the east coast of Signy Island in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It is located north of Balin Point .
Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations roughly mapped them in 1933. The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out measurements and naming in 1947. It is named after the reddish colored starfish of the species Odontaster validus , which can be found in large numbers in this bay.
