Stasys Malkevičius

Stasys Malkevičius (born March 17, 1928 in Salagiris near Panemunėlis , Rokiškis district municipality ) is a Lithuanian politician.

Life

In 1952 Malkevičius completed his diploma in electromechanics and received his doctorate from the Kauno politechnikos institutas (KPI). From 1952 to 1958 he worked at the Research Institute in Klaipėda as a constructor and department head. From 1958 to 1971 he headed the fisheries laboratory in Klaipėda. From 1985 he taught as a lecturer and was head of the chair at the Klaipėda Faculty of KPI. From 1990 he was a member of the Seimas .

From 1988 he was a member of Sąjūdis , from 1993 of Tėvynės sąjunga .
