Honor Crest was a post-hardcore / djent band from Norfolk , Virginia , formed in 2009 .
After two published EPs and two albums, as well as concert tours with We Butter the Bread with Butter and This or the Apocalypse , the musicians decided to break up the band in August 2014.
history
Honor Crest was founded in 2009 in Norfolk , Virginia . The group's musicians were Luke Borza ( vocals ), Chad Orange ( electric guitar , programming , backing vocals ), Zack Fitzpatrick (electric guitar), Jimmy Dillon ( electric bass ) and Cory Beaver ( drums ).
A Change in Perspective, the first professionally recorded EP, was released in the founding year . This was officially released on August 29, 2009 in self-distribution. On May 4, 2010, the EP named after the band, Honor Crest, followed . This was also self-financed. On July 7, 2012, the Indianola Records label signed the group. There the debut album Metrics was released . In 2013 the group changed labels and signed with Rise Records . Through this label, Spilled Ink , the group's second album, was released worldwide on December 10, 2013.
Honor Crest toured with The Browning and This or the Apocalypse . The group planned another national concert tour for February and March 2014. As support were We Butter the Bread with Butter and Lions Lions confirmed. After completing further concert tours, the musicians decided to end the project in August 2014 and dissolved Honor Crest. A farewell concert is to be held in September.
