Stationary animal husbandry

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Stationary animal husbandry is a term for the types of animal production in which the ranchers are sedentary and the pastures are mostly close to the stables.

A distinction is made between extensive stationary systems , in which the area of the pastures is the decisive factor of production ( ranching ) and intensive systems , which mainly use market-based and technological aids.
