The Stauffacherbrücke is an arch bridge in the city of Zurich over the Sihl . It connects the city center with the Aussersihl district .

The concrete bridge with a span of 40 meters is a listed building and is one of the first of its kind. It was built from rammed concrete with a three-hinged arch according to a design by the engineer Robert Maillart and is part of his early work. The building itself was built by the city master builder Gustav Gull in 1899. Since it was not yet customary in 1900 to show concrete bridges uncovered, the bridge is clad with house stones made of granite and sandstone. On the four corner pillars stand bronze lions, which were designed by the sculptor Urs Eggenschwyler .

The inner two of the four lanes are equipped with tram tracks and reserved for public transport. Cycle paths are marked on the two sidewalks on both sides of the road . Tram line 8 of the VBZ runs over the bridge . The bridge was renovated in 1991.
