On the hill between Bonstetten and Heretsried there was a relay station of the US armed forces with an 85 m high radio tower in steel framework construction until February 2007.
The Heretsried telecommunications tower with a height of 158.5 m has stood on the Buchberg ( 577.2 m above sea level ) adjacent to the north since 1983 .
