The Zaječice reservoir (Czech: Vodní nádrž Zaječice ) is a process water reservoir in the Czech Republic .
It is located two kilometers east of the city of Jirkov at 290 m above sea level. M. in the North Bohemian Basin near the village Zaječice in the area of the municipality Vrskmaň . To the north is the Kyjice reservoir . Dammed waters are the Otvický potok and the Hutní potok. The runoff is the Hutní potok.
The facility was built between 1973 and 1976 by the Montanbau Most company as a replacement for the Dřínov reservoir on the site of the former "Badhaus" location in Sadschitz and went into operation in 1976. The 6.8 m high dam lies in the northeast of the water. The crest of the dam is 830 m long and 6.8 m wide.
The reservoir with a water surface of 19.9 hectares is used to supply water to customers below the Kyjice reservoir in the event of an accident. At the same time it is a flood retention of the Hutní potok. It holds max. 445,000 m³ of water. Sport fishing is practiced in the Zaječice reservoir.
