Ste-Anne-des-Rochers (Trégastel)
Ste-Anne-des-Rochers (German: St. Annen der Felsen) is a Roman Catholic chapel in Trégastel in the Côtes-d'Armor department in Brittany . The chapel is inscribed on the French Architectural Heritage Register.
history
The core of today's St. Anne's Chapel goes back to a simple chapel on a rectangular floor plan that was built in 1635 on the site of an older building. The west gable with the bell ridge and parts of the south wall have been preserved from this building. In 1787 this church was rebuilt and renovated. Between 1928 and 1933, the chapel was expanded according to plans by the architect Auguste Courcoux for the Congrégation des Dames des Sacrés-Coeurs de Jésus et de Marie . A side chapel was added to the south as a transept, and three side chapels to the north. The building is from the local pink granite of pink granite was erected.
