The Roman Catholic Church of Ste-Lucie is located in Vallières, a district of Metz in the Moselle department in France . It has been classified as a monument historique since 1991 .

history

Of the originally Romanesque church of Ste-Lucie, only the choir tower from the 12th century with a semicircular apse has survived, which has a Gothic arcature in the tower hall, which is marked with the year 1496.

The Romanesque nave of the church was demolished in 1759 and replaced by a new building. The traditional easting of the church was abandoned. The new choir was oriented to the north. The former tower choir is now a side chapel in the middle of the nave in the east.
