The Steagall Glacier is a 15 miles long glacier in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It flows from the eastern slopes of the Rawson Plateau between Mount Alice Gade and Mount Deardorff in the Queen Maud Mountains in a northerly direction to the Bowman Glacier .
It was first mapped during the Byrd Antarctic Expedition (1928–1930). The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the glacier in 1967 after the American meteorologist for Jack T. Steagall, who worked at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station in the winter of 1961 .
