Steel Engraved is a German power metal band from Lower Bavaria .
history
The German power metal band was founded in 2006 by Andy Straehler, Chris Wende, Marco Schober, Thorsten Zirpner and Anton Weber. Daniel Kieslinger replaced Anton Weber on drums at the end of 2009, and Thomas Lang joined Thorsten Zirpner on bass at the end of 2011. The first demo EP Fuel for Live was recorded in 2007, then the decision was made to record the first long player State of Siege (2010, Stone Stallion Records). Both recordings pay tribute to classic heavy metal of the 1980s. The 2012 album On High Wings We Fly was produced by Vicious Rumors mastermind Geoff Thorpe.
The five musicians were on tour with bands such as WASP , Circle II Circle and Vicious Rumors in 2010 and 2011 . The band has also appeared in the opening act for Accept and Edguy .
In addition to various festivals (Metal Invasion, Metal Days, Basinfirefest, Out and Loud, Kaltenbach Open Air etc.) Steel Engraved was also able to show its skills on the 2013 cruise "70000 Tons of Metal".
A third, self-titled studio album was finally released in January 2019 after a long period of preparation.
