Stefan Bareła
Stefan Bareła (born June 24, 1916 in Zapolice ; † February 12, 1984 in Częstochowa ) was Bishop of Częstochowa ( Czestochowa ).
Life
He was ordained a priest on March 25, 1944 by Teodor Kubina , Bishop of Częstochowa .
Pope John XXIII appointed him on October 26, 1960 auxiliary bishop in Częstochowa and at the same time titular bishop of Hyllarima . The episcopal ordination donated him on January 8, 1961 his diocesan bishop Zdzisław Goliński ; Co-consecrators were Karol Józef Wojtyła , auxiliary bishop in Kraków , and Stanisław Czajka , auxiliary bishop in Częstochowa. On January 17, 1964 he was appointed by Pope Paul VI. appointed Bishop of Częstochowa.
He died in office in 1984.
