Stefan Barz

Stefan Barz (born September 13, 1975 in Cologne ) is a German writer. He mainly writes detective novels and short stories.

Life

Barz grew up in Kommern , graduated from high school in Bad Münstereifel , studied German and philosophy in Bonn and then became a teacher. Journalistic activities for local newspapers during his studies made him write. His short story Original Sin was nominated for the Agatha Christie Crime Prize 2014. His first novel, Schandpfahl , was awarded the Jacques Berndorf Prize in 2014. Barz is a member of the SYNDIKAT group of authors . Today he lives in Wuppertal .
