Stefan Feldmann

Stefan Feldmann (born June 11, 1970 in Uster ) is a Swiss politician and was President of the Social Democratic Party (SP) of the Canton of Zurich from 2008 to 2012 .

education and profession

Stefan Feldmann completed an apprenticeship as a bookseller before he switched to journalism, where he worked, among other things, as an editor for the social democratic " Schaffhauser AZ ". From 1998 to 2004 he was managing director of the SP cantonal parliamentary group and the SP constitutional council group in the canton of Zurich. He has been an independent communications consultant since 2004.

Political commitment

From 1997 to 2011 Stefan Feldmann was a member of the Uster municipal council, which he presided over in 2000/2001 as the youngest council president at the time. From 2001 to 2005 he was also president of the SP local council group. From 2003 to 2007 and since 2011 he has been a member of the Zurich Cantonal Council , where his political focus is on finance and tax policy. From 2008 to 2012 he chaired the SP Canton of Zurich and in this role was also a member of the SP management team. He has been a member of the Uster City Council since 2018 and heads the construction department.
