Stefan Haupt (lawyer)

Stefan Haupt (* 1962 in Berlin ) is a German lawyer , mediator , data protection officer and art collector .

Life

Stefan Haupt comes from a Berlin journalist family. His father is the journalist Klaus Haupt. He researched and published on Egon Erwin Kisch all his life .

Professional activities

Stefan Haupt studied law in Leipzig. From 1987 to 1990 he was legal advisor for German television broadcasting . In 1990 he founded his law firm in Berlin. His specialist areas are advice on copyright, publishing, media, internet and trademark law.

Among other things, he was legal advisor of the Association of German Scriptwriters (1995–1996), chairman of Kulturring e. V., participated in the copyright committee of the German Cultural Council and had various teaching assignments . 2016 training as a mediator, 2018 training as a data protection officer (TÜV).

Scientific work

Stefan Haupt received his doctorate in 1990 at the Humboldt University in Berlin on the subject of “The Influence of Video Technology on the Use of Copyrighted Works”.

He is a member of the advisory board of Medien und Recht, Vienna; Editor of the Berliner Bibliothek publication series on copyright and can refer to numerous publications, including on copyright.

Stefan Haupt held and holds lectures as part of teaching assignments (HGB Leipzig, Archive School Marburg, Europe University Viadrina Frankfurt / Oder, TU Chemnitz, FHTW Berlin and further education events (ZEW of Leibniz University Hannover; Federal Academy for Cultural Education, Wolfenbüttel ; Academy of the German Book Trade , Munich)).

In 2020 he was appointed honorary professor for copyright law at the University for Graphics and Book Art in Leipzig.

The money Art Collection by Stefan Haupt "Thirty pieces of silver - Art and Money" includes more than 300 works of different techniques and approaches of content.

Works from the collection have been on display in exhibitions and participations in Baden-Baden, Berlin, Budapest, Hall in Tirol, Halle (Saale), Hamburg, Leipzig, Mannheim, Plauen, Salzburg, Stendal and Stuttgart since 2011.
