Stefan Hundt (* 1958 in Drolshagen ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He is mayor of the Sauerland city ​​of Lennestadt .

Career

In 1976 Stefan Hundt joined the Junge Union . In 1978 he graduated from the municipal high school in Olpe . He completed his studies in 1983 with a degree in administration , and in the same year he became a member of the CDU. Until 2002 he was head of the municipal building department in his native Drolshagen, after which he moved to Lennestadt, where he was an alderman and general representative of the mayor Alfons Heimes . At the same time he has been managing director of Stadtmarketing Lennestadt eV since 2002 and, since 2005, of Lennestädter Liegenschaftsverwaltung und Stadtservice GmbH.

Stefan Hundt has a son and a daughter.

Mayor's office

After Mayor Alfons Heimes retired after 12 years in office in 2009, Stefan Hundt was elected as CDU candidate in the mayoral election in 2009 with 72.9 percent of the valid votes in the first ballot. He was re-elected in 2014 with 67.9 percent of the valid votes .

In the North Rhine-Westphalia City and Municipal Association he is a member of the committee for schools, culture and sport as well as a member of the committee for urban development, construction and regional planning.
