Stefan Jung

Stefan Jung (born November 20, 1970 in Altena ) is a German economist and organizational researcher. As founding chancellor, he has been a member of the university management of the CVJM University in Kassel since 2009 , where he also teaches as a professor for management and organization. In 2000 he founded the international organization consultancy Public One based in Berlin.

Life

Jung completed his studies in economics at the University of Witten / Herdecke with distinction from 1994 to 1999 as a scholarship holder of the Evangelisches Studienwerk Villigst, after completing his training as a banker and doing community service. During his studies there were research and practical stays in India, Ecuador and Spain before he completed his studies with a thesis on process consulting and dialogue methodology in cooperation with a research group from MIT, Boston. After completing his studies, he first worked for Roland Berger Strategy Consultants and then founded the Berlin consultancy Public One, which advises international and national organizations on issues of strategy, organizational and managerial development.

From 2005 to 2007 he was a doctoral student at the University of Witten / Herdecke and was awarded a doctorate summa cum laude in 2007 with a thesis on the form of reform with Birger P. Priddat, Rudi Wimmer and Dirk Baecker. rer. pole. PhD. In the same year, 2007, he was involved in founding the Wunderwerke eV association.

Jung has been Professor of Management and Organization at the newly founded CVJM University in Kassel since 2009. Since his appointment as professor, he has been the university's chancellor and, as a member of the university management, has been closely involved in the development and expansion of the young university. Since 2011 he has headed the “Evangelische Bank Institute for Ethical Management”, which he helped initiate, where research and study projects in the border area of ​​management, ethics and organization are carried out. The institute makes the results of its scientific research available to practitioners in the church, diakonia and social economy in the form of consultations and lectures and publishes the scientific series Management, Ethics, Organization (MEO) at Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht in Göttingen.

Jung has been teaching since 2006 in the Ergonomics Department of the Leibniz University Hanover Faculty of Economics with a focus on the change and development of organizations. Stefan Jung has been involved in setting up an ecumenical model church in Essen on a voluntary basis since 1999. He lives with his family in the Evangelical Community of Kirubai in Essen-Rüttenscheid.
