Stefan Kluge

Stefan Kluge (born February 8, 1968 in Bremen ) is a German doctor and specialist in internal medicine with a focus on pneumology and special training in internal intensive medicine. He is a professor at the University of Hamburg .

Life

Kluge studied from 1989 at the Universities of Gießen and Hamburg and received his doctorate in 1997. He completed his specialist training in the Medical Clinic of the St. Joseph-Stift Hospital in Bremen and in 1999 became a research assistant in the Medical Core and Polyclinic of the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf . In 2005 he was appointed senior physician at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf. In 2009 he completed his habilitation in internal medicine at the University of Hamburg. In the same year he took over the management of the Clinic for Intensive Care Medicine at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf with its 11 intensive care units for adults (currently 146 beds). In 2014 he was appointed professor at the University of Hamburg.

He is a member of the Presidium of the German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine (DIVI) and on the board of the German Society for Internal Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine ( DGIIN ).
