The Scottish FA Cup was played for the 99th time in 1983/84 . The most important Scottish football cup competition, which was directed by the Scottish Football Association, began on December 10, 1983 and ended with the final on May 19, 1984 in Hampden Park in Glasgow. As the defending champion, the FC Aberdeen started in the competition, which had prevailed in the final last year against the Glasgow Rangers , and was thus the second time in a row cup winners.
