Stefan Korte (lawyer)

Stefan Korte (* 1975 in Walsrode ) is a German lawyer and professor for public law and public commercial law at the Technical University of Chemnitz .

Career

Korte was born in Walsrode ( Lower Saxony ). After graduating from high school in Walsrode in 1994 , he completed his military service with Panzergrenadierbataillon 32 Nienburg / Weser and held the rank of first lieutenant in the reserve . To 2001 he studied from 1996 Law (Degree: First State Examination ) and at the same time from 1997 to 1999 economics at the Georg-August-University of Goettingen (degree: bachelor's degree ). From 1998 to 2001 he was also a fellow of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung e. V. From 2005 to 2008 he studied business administration at the University of Hamburg (degree: diploma ).

After studying law, he worked at R. Stober first as a scientist at the University of Hamburg, where he met with a thesis on state gambling business in 2004 doctorate was. The traineeship at the OLG Braunschweig , which then began , was completed by Korte in 2006 with the second state examination in law. After completing his doctorate, Korte moved to Christian Calliess ' chair as a research assistant / research assistant , initially at the Georg-August University in Göttingen and, after his change, at the Free University of Berlin. From 2006 to 2008 he was also a lecturer in European law at the University of Kassel and from 2007 to 2008 a lecturer in European environmental law at the Federal Academy for Public Administration. In 2013 , Korte completed his habilitation at the Free University of Berlin on the subject of "Location factor public law - integration and competition in federal systems". After serving as professorships in Bochum, Hanover, Frankfurt (Oder) and Mannheim, he received offers in 2015 both at the Fernuniversität Hagen (professorship for administrative law, in particular business administration law) and at the TU Chemnitz, where he was appointed professor ( W3 ) in 2015 . There he takes over from Ludwig Gramlich .

Korte is married to the lawyer Maya Maresa Korte and has three children.
