Research priorities

Stefan Kurtz researches the development of methods and software for the efficient processing of biological sequences and genomic annotations (in particular for the comparison and assembly of next generation sequencing data, predictions, annotation and classification of repetitive elements in genomes and for the pairwise and multiple comparison of Genomes). He is also dedicated to the integration and evaluation of next generation sequencing, e.g. B. in the field of amplicon sequencing, genome sequencing and ribosome profiling.
