Stefan Langen
Stefan Langen (born January 15, 1925 - March 22, 2013 ) was a German football player .
career
The defender was one of the players who started their first game on February 15, 1948, two days after 1. FC Köln was founded . This game against Nippes 1912 was won 8: 2.
After he had been active for the predecessor club SpVgg Sülz 07 since 1946, he made both promotion to the Oberliga West until 1955 and the first participation of the Cologne team in the final round of the German championship. Also in the DFB Cup Finals in 1954 against VfB Stuttgart (0: 1) Long was there. After the end of the 1954/55 season, in which he was rarely used due to injury, he ended his active career, who was only called "Steff" by his comrades.
In the 1950s, he and his wife ran the restaurant and wine bar "Zum Geißbock".
