Stefan Leuthold

Stefan Leuthold (born December 24, 1967 , grew up in Frauenfeld ) is a Swiss politician ( glp ). He is a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Thurgau and an entrepreneur.

biography

1986 Leuthold graduated from commercial secondary school with a diploma. From 1992 to 1993 he attended the ifks Frauenfeld Institute for Management Training, where he also graduated with a diploma. From 1986 to 2000 he worked as a commercial employee, fitter and as a senior dispatcher in various companies. From the end of 2000 to 2007 he worked as a commercial manager and co-owner of a company that rents out festival halls. From 2008 to 2018 he held a managerial position at a provider of renewable energies (interrupted by a one-year agricultural internship). In 2017 he started his own business as the organizer of the Thurgau table fair. Leuthold is married and has two grown children.

politics

Leuthold has been a member of the Grand Council (Parliament) of the Canton of Thurgau since 2012 . He has been a member of the Audit and Finance Committee there since 2012. In the Cantonal Council he was a. a. for lowering the voting age to 16 years and for excluding palm oil from the free trade agreement with Malaysia.

Leuthold was from 2011 to 2016 and has been a member of the municipal council (parliament) of the city of Frauenfeld again since 2019, where he a. a. campaigned for financial incentives to save electricity.

Leuthold is a founding member and board member of the green liberal party in the Frauenfeld district. From 2013 to 2015 he was co-president of the Green Liberal Party Thurgau.
