Stefan Maiwald

Stefan Maiwald (born August 29, 1971 in Braunschweig ) is a German journalist and writer.

Life

After graduating from high school at Martino-Katharineum Braunschweig and studying political science at the University of Hamburg , Stefan Maiwald began working as a freelancer for the magazine Tempo and then completed a traineeship at Playboy . In 2001 he became editor-in-chief of the travel magazine GLOBO and has been working as a freelancer since 2002. He now lives in Munich and Italy . His best-known books include Laura, Leo, Luca and I - How to Survive in an Italian Family and the historical novel The Doge's Spy , which was voted the best debut of 2017 by the HOMER authors and critics association. In addition, Maiwald has been writing columns and reports for Golf Journal as well as for Feinschmecker , Merian , GEO Saison , SZ-Magazin , GQ , PM and other magazines for many years .
