Stefan Marshal

Stefan Marschall (* 1968 in Gerolstein ) is a political scientist and professor of comparative political science at Heinrich-Heine University in Düsseldorf . He is u. a. Author of the introductory textbook The Political System of Germany (UTB 2007).

Life

Stefan Marschall was born in Gerolstein in Rhineland-Palatinate in 1968 . He studied political science, sociology and psychology at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and at the University of Pittsburgh , USA. He was an honorary employee for the “Public Relations” section of the German Bundestag and a mentor for political science at the Cologne Study Center of the FernUniversität Hagen . In 1998 the doctorate at the FernUniversität Hagen and a subsequent position as a research assistant and research assistant at the Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf . He completed his habilitation in 2004 at the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Düsseldorf with the license to teach political science. From 2004 to 2008 he was a university lecturer for political science in Düsseldorf. From 2005 to 2006 he was a substitute professor at the University of Duisburg-Essen and the Justus-Liebig University of Gießen . Stefan Marschall was then Professor of Political Science at the University of Siegen from 2008 to 2010 . Since 2010, Stefan Marschall has been working again at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf as a professor of political science. One of the main research areas is the analysis of the Wahl-O-Mat .

He is married and has children.
