Stefan Persson (born October 4, 1947 in Stockholm , Sweden ) is a Swedish entrepreneur .

Life

Stefan Persson is the son of Erling Persson , who founded the textile company Hennes & Mauritz in Stockholm in 1947 . He grew up in a wealthy family and first studied art history after school . He then joined his father's company and held various positions there. Between 1982 and 1997 he was general manager, since 1998 he has been chairman of the supervisory board of H&M. At the same time, he holds 31 percent of the company's shares.
