Stefan Pfeistlinger (2007)

Stefan Pfeistlinger (born July 19, 1961 in Vienna ) is an Austrian lighting designer and set designer , he is the founder and was director of the theater klas auf der Heunburg in Völkermarkt , Carinthia , from 1995 to 2010 .

Life

Stefan Pfeistlinger grew up in Klagenfurt . After graduating from the Humanist Gymnasium BG2 Klagenfurt in 1979, he moved to Vienna, studied architecture at the Vienna University of Technology and worked as a drummer for the bands Chuzpe , Rosachrom , Passepartout, among others .

Since 1985 he has been working as a lighting designer and set designer at theaters in Austria, Germany, Slovenia, Italy and Switzerland, as well as for independent and open ensembles.

In 1992 Pfeistlinger founded the theater klas together with the director Alexander Kubelka and from 1995 to 2009 produced contemporary theater on the Heunburg in Haimburg (municipality of Völkermarkt / Carinthia ). From 1997 to 2010 Pfeistlinger was the managing director of Theater klas.

Pfeistlinger has been involved in around 200 productions for lighting / stage design and the like since 1985. a. at Theater klas, Schauspielhaus Graz, Stadttheater Klagenfurt, Staatstheater Stuttgart, DNT Weimar, Theater Phönix Linz, SMG Ljubljana, Theater mbH Vienna, Theater der Jugend Wien, Staatstheater Schwerin, Bregenz Festival, Mittelfest Cividale del Friuli, SNG Ljubljana, Theater KOSMOS Bregenz, Forum Ludwigsburg, Festspielhaus St.Pölten, Donaufestival Lower Austria, Volkstheater Wien, Schauspielhaus Wien, Theater im Pfalzbau Ludwigshafen, SNG Maribor, Musikwerkstatt Wien, Theater Nestroyhof Hamakom, Volx / Margareten.
